There are many
advantages to an electronic wall
safe. The electronic lock is much
faster to operate than a
traditional combination lock.
Touching 5 numbers to enter your
safe is even faster than dialing
a phone number. Combinations
usually involve turning the dial
as many as 9 times and require
you to concentrate carefully on
the little notches to get the
dial set just right.

from experience that many
people lose their
combinations. With an
electronic wall safe, you
can program in at least 3
other codes besides the
original factory code. If
you put one of these
codes off the premises,
say with a trusted
relative, you will never
be locked out. We can't
tell you how many calls
we've had from people
with combination locks,
who have lost the
combination and are
frantic to get in. It
will take them 1-2 weeks
to get the manufacturer
to release to them their
original factory code. |

For many people
it is important to be able to
change the combination. This is
easy to do with an electronic
wall safe. Say you have to give
someone access while you are
hospitalized. When you return
home, you can reprogram the lock
to a new combination known only
to you. Perhaps you have an
employee who has to have access
to the safe every day. If that
employee leaves, you can have the
new employee program a new code.
Usually an electronic lock will
recognize at least three user
codes as well as the original
factory access code.
Some may find it
a disadvantage that an electronic
wall safe requires batteries. It
is true that you must have spare
batteries on hand but you can
always change the battery from
the outside of the safe. You will
never be locked out if you have a
spare battery. We find that the
batteries last according to how
often the door of your safe is
open and shut. If you go in your
electronic wall safe only once a
week your battery should last
months.
